Jacob’s Ladder

Jacobs Ladder

And somebody asked me why do you love her so much? And I was left without an answer, and somebody asked me are you writing about someone specific? And I said yes, and he asked is she reading? And I said yes, and he asked how do you know? And I said the I know I know sometimes I just know, I’ve met her before you know in other people, I’ve met her before in a different life, I’ve met her before in this life, and it was very clear, and he asked what was clear? And I said everything, and he asked so do you know what’s going to happen? And I said the I know I know sometimes I just know, and he asked so do you know now? And I said everything was written in the sky, you just need to learn to read between the clouds, and he said so do you know? And I said No. And in the pub last night, he asked, so why do you love her so much? Do you have the answer? And I said No, and blood came running out of my nose, and I asked him is it my heart or my nose that’s bleeding now? And he said dude you got to stop with the Cocaine and I said I don’t touch that drug, and he said here try some, and I said some drugs I don’t touch, they make me addicted, and he said just like that girl and I said yes just like that girl, and he asked why is she so addictive? And I said Fuck Off! and somebody said let me help you stop the bleeding, and I said girl I am sorry, only one person can stop my bleeding, and she said forget about her she is history and I said I love history, and she said – she is the past, and I said I love the past, and she said think about the future, and I said you know the Angels left Jerusalem last night? And she asked, are you high? And I said, No! so what the fuck she asked? Yes the Angels they left Jerusalem, and when I came home my dog was hiding under the bed, and I asked him, dog what happened? And he said there was an Angel here and he asked if he could barrow a ladder and I gave him the ladder and I said dog why that’s not mine that’s Jacob’s ladder and he said exactly.
